KILTHAU, Dennis Larry

July 3, 1971 - September 29, 2016

The world has lost a good man. It is with profound grief that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, Dennis, on September 29, 2016 at the age of 45. Dennis was born in New Westminster, BC, grew up in Maple Ridge, BC, and spent his adult life living in the lower mainland area. Dennis will be forever missed by his family: his parents, Larry and Susan Kilthau; his brother, Steven Kilthau; his adored nieces, Ceilidh and Shonah; his aunts and uncles; his many cousins and friends. Dennis lived a life that defied tradition but was rich in love and devotion to those he loved. He cared nothing for material gain and everything for those who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life. Dennis gave of himself unconditionally and was quick to share his time, his diverse talents and his resources with anyone who indicated need. He enjoyed his work most when he was working 30 stories high installing and caulking windows. He loved the excitement of being outside and seeing the views from such heights as he navigated the exterior of these buildings. Dennis loved and saw the good in people and had a unique, comical take on everything...it was impossible to be in his company without spending most of your time laughing. We can't begin to say how much he will be missed, but we know that he is safe and happy in his heavenly home.

In Dennis's honour, we petition those who knew and loved him to do something for a stranger in need. "...whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." Matthew 25:40

A Celebration of Life for Dennis was held on October 13th at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel in Maple Ridge.
