NELSON, Derek
Passed away peacefully on March 23rd 2010. Survived by his children John, Nicole, Heather (Keith), Steve (May), and his 6 wonderful grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beautiful wife Valerie and his parents Arthur and Christine Nelson. He will be missed by his sister Barbara (Gilli), his many nieces and nephews and extended family. Derek was born in Lucknow, Northern India. He studied at St. Columba's school in Delhi then moved to Vancouver in 1960. He lived in Maple Ridge for the last 20years. Derek was a gourmet cook and loved entertaining his many family and friends. A celebration of his life will be held at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel 11765 224th St, Maple Ridge this Saturday, March 27th, 2010 at 10:00am. Donations if desired may be made to the BC Cancer Society.
