KELLOND ~ Dick
Sadly, we announce the passing of Dick, a beloved husband, a cherished brother and brother-in-law, a much loved uncle, and the kindest of friends. Dick passed peacefully on the morning of January 25th, 2008 with family at his bedside. Dick was born in North Kensington, England on October 5th, 1921. He was one of 9 siblings (1 brother and 7 sisters). He married his wife Rene in England on December 25th, 1945. Dick and Rene immigrated to Canada in 1966 and have resided in Maple Ridge. Dick leaves behind his loving wife Rene, who was his world for 62 years of marriage; his sister Rose and many nieces & nephews in England. In Canada, nieces Val & Tony Young and family; Brenda & Gerry Doggett and family; nieces Dana & Dale and family; Debbie; and nephew Robbie & Treena and family; his sister-in-law Rita & Peter, and nephews Steven & Kathy and family, Clive & Susana and family, nieces Claire & George and family; Sandra & Dave and family; sister-in-law Gladys and family. Dick leaves behind many dear friends in Pioneer Village and throughout Maple Ridge.
A 'Celebration of Dick's Life' will be held at the hall at Pioneer Village on February 2nd at 1:00 p.m. Rene has requested a donation to the charity of your choice in lieu of flowers. Bring your stories and share with us the many laughs and good times spent with Dick.
