and his alter ego “HELLO THE CLOWN” passed away peacefully at 5:10 p.m. on Saturday, April 1st. God has a tremendous sense of humor. What other day would “HELLO” and GOD choose to raise Don to his eternal rest than April Fools Day.
Don is survived by his wife Wilma; his two sons Derrick and Wade (Tanya); daughter Lori (Charly); step sons Rob and Gerry (Cheryl); grandchildren Michael, Tanisa, Lisa, Nathaniel, Nolin, Marly, Caleb, Riley, Cassie and Cade; brother Al (Shirley), sisters Deanna (Dave, deceased) and Margaret (George); and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. We will always cherish the joy and laughter he brought to our lives.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 15 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrews United Church, 22165 Dewdney Trunk Road, Maple Ridge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. “Hello” wanted his memorial to be one of laughter and joy
– if you are attending, please bring helium-filled balloons.
