BRADLEY, Donald Keith (Dan)

It is with profound sadness that we say goodbye to Don Bradley, age 74 of Maple Ridge, who passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, December 27, 2007.

Don was born on March 2, 1933 in Vancouver to parents Murray and Elizabeth Bradley. He graduated from John Oliver High School and worked as a log scaler for the BC Forestry Service until his retirement.

Don was a man of keen intellect and curiosity about everything. He was a voracious reader and could be relied upon to supply information about almost everything.

Don was witty with a playful nature. When he met his wife, Gloria (Gilmore), he told her his name was Dan and for the rest of his life he was known as both Dan and Don. From their elopement to Idaho in 1956, Don was a devoted, adoring husband and best friend to Gloria. They moved to Maple Ridge in 1982 and together they lived life fully. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Marnie, and in 2004, by his beloved wife.

He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. Many thanks to the staff and residents of the Legion Manor and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 88 who became Don’s family, for making the years he and Gloria lived in the Manor so enjoyable.

There will be no service

at Don’s request.
