MACGILLIVRAY. Donald (Stan) After a long, courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis Stan is now at peace. He passed away in his 73rd year on October 3, 2011. He is survived by his loving family, wife Leona, daughters Tracy (Rob), Trudi (Rick), son Ken (Margaret), grandchildren Ryan, Jillian, Kara, and Blake, brother Len (Alyson), brother-in-law Frank (Dodie), niece Carrie (Derek), Olivia, Chloe, and nephew David (Jen) and Lucas. After graduating he received his millwright ticket and fourth class power engineer certificate. He worked for Empress Jams and Jellies which was a division of Safeway for twenty-four years. When he was not working his greatest past time was spending time with his family in which he could be found on the sidelines watching his kid’s soccer or grass hockey games. Stan enjoyed the outdoors and travel. He had fond memories of driving across Canada in a R.V. and taking the family on camping and fishing trips. He will be remembered for his courage, kindness, and cheerful way despite all that he faced with his illness. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel, 11969-216th Street, Maple Ridge, B.C. on Wednesday, October 12 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the MS Society of British Columbia. Special Thanks for the care he received at Bailey House.
