GREEN, Doreen Palmira. October 19, 1933 - August 12, 2014. Doreen (nee Recchi) passed away peacefully in Maple Ridge after a lengthy illness. Beloved wife, mother, aunt, and Nonna, she was born in Trail, BC, graduated from St. Joseph's Nursing School, Victoria, and lived most of her life with her family in Port Moody. Doreen is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, David Green, her daughters Pamela (Jeff), Andrea (Pete), and Maria (Ercole), 6 grandchildren (Erik, Sydney, Sienna, Talia, Sophia, Francesca), her siblings Angela, Dorothy, Donny, cousin Angela White and many nieces and nephews. Our Mom was kind, funny, resilient and taught us all the meaning of love and family. She will always be the light in our lives. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff of Holyrood Manor for their many years of compassionate care. A funeral mass will be held Friday, August 22nd at 1:00 pm at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 22561 - 121st Avenue, Maple Ridge, with reception to follow.
