Dorothy REGAN

October 27, 2010

REGAN, Dorothy Louise

passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Dorothy was born on May 3, 1921, in Tisdale, Sask, to Robert and Annie Johnstone, the 7th of 11 Children.

Dorothy left the farm, and relocated to Trail , B.C where she took her Professional Secretarial Business Training. From Trail, Dorothy moved to Port Coquitlam where she had a long and fulfilling Career with CP Rail.

Dorothy met the love of her life, Ross who also worked at CP Rail. They spent many happy years together camping and traveling in their 'little home on wheels'. Many trips were taken to spend with Family in Trail and Rocky Mountain House. Dorothy and Ross were known for their many expressions of generous love to Family and Friends. Many will remember her wonderful hospitality and great cooking. Perhaps best known as the Queen of Butter Tarts!

Dorothy is survived by her sisters, Isabel of Rocky Mountain House, Shirley of Portland Oregon, her brother George of Vancouver, Washington, many Nieces and Nephews who remember her generosity fondly, along with special friends, Ivy, Irene, Gerry and Sheri.

Thanks is such a simple word to express our deep appreciation to Dr. Grist and Dr. Chapman, and all the incredibly wonderful Staff of Willow Manor who poured their love and care on Dorothy for the last eight years.

A Celebration Tea will be held in honour of Dorothy's life at Willow Manor, 12275 224th St. Maple Ridge, BC, in the Activity Room on the Ground Floor at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 6, 2010. Condolences may be sent to www.mapleridgefuneral.ca
