WESSELS, Edith Elise
Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Edith Wessels, born 5 January 1921, passed peacefully to Rest with the Lord on Friday, November 13, 2015. She is now with her much loved husband of 66 years, Gerrit.
Edith was born in Stettin, Germany.
In 1957 Edith, Gerrit and their two young daughters immigrated to Canada, and later followed by their son.
Edith was very independent, strong-willed and hard working. Her family meant everything to her and always came first. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends, we will always remember her strong spirit and love of life, she was an inspiration to us all.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Haney Presbyterian Church, 11858- 216th Street, Maple Ridge, BC. Reception to follow in the Church hall.
