It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Egon Herbert Georgi on Sunday, July 31, 2023, (age 92).
Born August 27, 1930, in Germany, Egon immigrated to Canada in 1958. His Wife Inge soon followed and they found their way to Spences Bridge, B.C., where Egon worked on the railway for many years.
They eventually found their way to the Lower Mainland where they started a family having two sons Mike and Ron. Egon was very involved with their kid's various sports of lacrosse, basketball and hockey through coaching and very seldom missed a game. Egon spent his last 30 years working at Ebco Industries where he retired at age 65. He then followed his passion for sailing several years into retirement.
Egon will be greatly missed!
Survived by his wife Inge Georgi (age 85), sons Mike Georgi (wife Karen), and Ron Georgi (wife Debby), and their 3 grandchildren Michael, Tara and Kyle and sister Crystal.
A special thank you to the staff at Baillie House in Maple Ridge as they provided excellent care and compassion up until Egon's passing. We will be forever grateful.
