ERSKINE – Eileen Leslie

February 7, 1920 to January 23, 2008

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Eileen, predeceased by her husband John and son David, will be lovingly remembered by her sons Harry (Sue) and Robert, her daughters Peggy (Tom) Stacy, and Sheila (Garry) Patt, and daughter-in-law Cindy (Dale).

Eileen also leaves grandchildren; Toni (Mike), Michele (Mark), Michael, Jason, and John (Stef) and great-grandchildren; Nicholas, Joshua and Tessa, Jordan and Jemma, and Savannah.

Eileen was born in Edmonton and spent her early years in the Rocky Mountain coal mining town of Cadomin. In her teens she moved to Vancouver with her parents where she later met and married her husband, John. The family moved to Maple Ridge in 1955. Mum was an avid bridge player and is well known for this and for her baking, knitting, tatting and crocheting. Her main joy in life was her family and she was an extremely proud grandmother and great-grandmother.

A celebration of Eileen’s life will be held at St. John The Divine Anglican Church, 21299 River Road, Maple Ridge on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 2 PM.
