Fern Odne (nee Larson) 75, of Maple Ridge, British Columbia went home to be with the Lord on September 19, 2021. Fern is survived by her loving husband Myron of 54 years, and their children Michael (Dana), Kirk, Kristal (Stewart) and John as well as their grandchildren whom she cherished; Jennifer, Melody, John, Josh, Payton, Evangeline, Spencer and Amie-Rae.
Fern is dearly loved and missed by her large extended family with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Fern was born in Elk Point, Alberta to the late Nelvin and Ethel Larson, grew up in Prince George, British Columbia and was one of 16 children. Her and Myron married on May 20, 1967 in Surrey, British Columbia.
She later went on to beauty school yet her true passion was her family. She devoted her time, her life and her love to raising her children. She delighted in her family and enjoyed hosting them at her and Myron's home of 51 years. Everyone was welcome and there was always room at the table.
Fern had a passion for sewing, particularly quilting, and enjoyed driving to Pfaff Sewing Centre of Vancouver to work on her sewing projects. She loved visiting the Okanagan and had most recently purchased a home there so she could be close to her children, grandchildren and family.
Fern was a dedicated member of her church and served as an usher for many years. She had a deep faith in Jesus Christ and spent time every morning reading her Bible and getting to know Him a little more. She firmly believed in the power of prayer and would go to battle for you if you were in trouble.
A service to celebrate Fern's life will be held at Burnett Fellowship Baptist Church, 20639 123rd Avenue, Maple Ridge on Thursday, September 30th at 1pm.

There will be a void in this world and in our hearts where Fern's love, service and laughter once was. We hold the memories closely and we look forward to the day when we can be together again.
