Elvin French Burrows

Late of Maple Ridge, passed away at 84 years of age on February 12, 2008 at Ridge Meadows Hospital, Maple Ridge, B.C. after a brief illness. Born in Victoria, B.C. September 26, 1923, the only son of Mary Patience and Sydney Elvin Burrows.

Predeceased by mother in 1923, & father in 1970, stepmother Ethel in 1978, brother Ronald in1996, sister Ethel in 2001. A beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grand father, Elvin leaves a large and loving posterity to mourn his passing. Elvin is survived by his beloved and treasured wife of 60 years, Marguerite, son Brent (Andrea), and daughters Marguerite (Robert Simpson), Barbara (John Watanabe), Holly, and Nancy (George Thomson), 21 beloved grandchildren, and 27 much loved great grand- children. He is also survived by his siblings, Shirley, Doreen, June, Jean, Sydney, and Ray. He created a thriving business but his great treasure and true passion was his family. Grampa was a dependable, loving rock for his family. He was much loved. He was magic. He will be sadly missed, but his legacy will live on. Funeral Service Friday, February 15, 2008 at 11:00 am in Maple Ridge Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 11750 – 207th Avenue, Maple Ridge, BC.
