It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear mother. Enid passed away peacefully at The Residence in Mission, in Cherry Neighborhood with her two youngest children by her side. Born in Nelson, BC. Raised in Ymir, BC. She is survived by her seven children, Sharon, Geraldine, Ann (Pete), Ken, Peter, Linda (Gerry) and Winnie (Dave). Also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sadly Enid's health deteriorated due to Vascular Dementia. Many thanks to all the staff in Cherry Neighborhood at TRIM. Special thanks to nurse Pinder Gill.
Enid was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 88. She enjoyed Monday night crib at the legion. She was employed for years at Shaughnessy Hospital, then later at RMH working in the kitchen, then later at Golden Ears Retirement Center as a Care-Aid. In her earlier years along side her mother, she belonged to the Pythian Sisters in Trail, BC. Also, in her earlier years she was a shop steward for the HEU, where she wore her jacket with pride. She also became a Brownie Leader and a Girl Guide Leader.
Enid enjoyed dancing, music, walking, travel, bowling, curling, knitting and volunteering and watching the Vancouver Canucks. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
There will be no service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Residence in Mission appreciated.
