FEHLER, Ernest
Ernest Karl Fehler passed away on March 29, 2014 at Maple Ridge Hospital. Ernie was a loving husband, father to 3, adoring grandfather of 5 and a dedicated Lion’s Club member. He died one month short of his 94th birthday in Maple Ridge, BC. Ernie was born on April 28, 1920 in Wolseley, Saskatchewan. After a short time in the armed forces Ernie worked as a welder on the pipelines in BC and then became an instructor of welding. He was a loyal Lion who put his heart and soul into their work with Easter Seal House, Camp Squamish and the Lions Eyesight Recycling Program.
Ernest is survived by his wife of 58 years Betty, children Rob (Deb) & Joan (Norm), grandchildren Michael (Erin), Christina (Mark), Alex, Scott (Megan) and Grayson. Also survived by brother Henry and sister Mary and many nieces & nephews. There is no service per his request. In lieu of flowers please donate to Easter Seal House in his memory.
