TREMBATH, Evelyn Bertha, (nee Yousie)

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Evelyn Bertha (Yousie) Trembath. Evelyn was born at the home farm in Zelma, Saskatchewan February 20, 1926, one of the 7 children of Amos & Evelina Yousie. Evelyn is predeceased by all her siblings, Merle (Roy) Isherwood, Lawrence (Ruth), Clayton (Bemie), Howard (Kay), Wes (Emma), Floyd (Lillian) & her husband Robert Trembath. Evelyn left the home farm at the age of 16 to live in Saskatoon and was employed at Golfs Chocolate Shop on 2nd Avenue, where she met Robert and they were later married, November 10, 1945. They soon relocated to Victoria where two daughters, Evelyn (Denise) and Robyn were born. They moved on to Dawson Creek and eventually to Whitehorse where two sons, Trace & Scott were born. Edmonton soon became home and then an eventual return to Vancouver. Evelyn loved gardening. Flower and vegetable gardens flourished under her care. She loved to bake and she made the best butter tarts, pastries and pies. She was a fantastic seamstress and a keen knitter and passed her skills on to her daughters & granddaughters. Evelyn is survived by two sisters-in-law, Bernie (Clayton) of Saskatoon and Emma (Wes) from Colonsay Saskatchewan. Also, many nieces and nephews to numerous to list. She will be remembered with much love by her four children, her four grandchildren, and two great-grandsons.
