It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Frank Boydell, on December 17, 2015, in Maple Ridge, BC, at the age of 93. Survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Mona (Stevens); son Stephen (Barbara) Boydell, Calgary, Alberta; daughter Sharon (Ron) Evans, Maple Ridge, BC, 3 grandsons, Ryan (Kellsie) Boydell, Calgary, Alberta; Kerr (Kim) Boydell, Calgary, Alberta; Aaron Evans, Auckland, New Zealand, 1 great-granddaughter, Kassidy Boydell, Calgary, Alberta. Missing him also are brothers-in-law Leon (Madeline) Stevens, London, Ontario; Dale (Nancy) Stevens, Rothesay, New Brunswick; as well as nieces and nephews and their extended families. The oldest of his family, Frank was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Boydell; sisters Alice Manske and Elsie Farebrother. Frank was born in Bolton, Lancashire, England, to William and Ada Boydell, immigrating to Montreal, Quebec, when Frank was 8 months old. A veteran of W.W. II, Frank served with the Royal Canadian Air Force, Squadron 436, from 1942 - 1946. Upon his retirement in 1985, he and Mona moved from Montreal to cottage country in the Ottawa Valley, spending their summers there and winters in BC. In 2006 they moved permanently to Maple Ridge to be with their family. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 30th, 2015, at Garden Hill Funeral Home, 11765 - 224th St. Maple Ridge,BC, at 2pm.
