FUNK, Frederick Elmer 1953 - 2014
Fred was born in Mission, B.C. on Sept. 30, 1953 and passed away suddenly at home on Sept. 4, 2014. He grew up in Maple Ridge, and completed degrees at SFU and UBC Law School. He is predeceased by his parents Fred and Vera Funk. He is survived by his son David, his brothers Ron, Dan and Mark Funk, his sister Sandra Contzen, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends. Fred enjoyed reading, gardening and raising koi. He was a quiet, thoughtful man who was always willing to lend an ear when someone needed to talk. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Maple Ridge Community Church at 301 - 20450 Dewdney Trunk Rd., Maple Ridge, BC V2X 3E3.
