SNEL - Gary John passed away into eternal glory on January 21, 2005, at the age of 53, after a courageous battle with cancer. He died peacefully at home with his family at his side. He was predeceased by his parents, Gerrit and Janny Snel, and one sister, Gerda. He is survived by his loving wife Linda; two children: Tracy (Oscar) & grandson Tristan and Ryan (Caroline); two brothers and three sisters:John (Nell) of Abbotsford; Anne (Graham) of Australia; Herman (Simone) of Surrey; Nellie (Wayne) of Burnaby; Angie (Dick) of Summerland. Gary, along with his parents and siblings immigrated to Canada in 1957 and settled in Vancouver. After his marriage he moved to Maple Ridge and lately resided in Pitt Meadows. Gary was a trucker, driving big rigs all his life, and loved fresh water fishing with his buddies. He will be dearly missed by all. A memorial service celebrating Gary’s life will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2005, at 1:00 pm at the MAPLE RIDGE FUNERAL CHAPEL (Osborn's), 11969-216th Street.
