George grew up on Vancouver Island, where at one time he was an Alderman for the City of Port Alberni. He moved to the mainland in 1967 taking a position with Canadian Union of Public Employees as a National Representative. George was a Master Mason and was affiliated with Prince David Lodge, and was a member of Royal Arch and Rose Croix. He was loved and respected by everyone. George’s kind and charming manner, along with a pinch of mischief, touched countless hearts and formed loving bonds that spanned decades.
