FRANCIS, George Stanley

1925 - 2016

It is with great sadness that the family of George Stanley Francis announce his passing on September 8, 2016 in Pitt Meadows BC. Lovingly remembered by cherished wife Sadie, sons Stephen (Kim), David (Kimberly), Colin (Rochelle), Chris (Helen), Clive, daughter Sue, his brothers Bill and John, and many treasured grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family members and friends. Born in New Zealand in 1925, George moved to England in 1945, then moved his family to Canada in 1957. His stories and memories were incredible, and he had many great loves including the theatre pipe organ, the Three Stooges, a good corny joke and a good rum & coke. He was a man of many talents, most notably as "an amateur crooner from away back" - a beautiful singing voice with an amazing knowledge and collection of music. He was a bobby in England and drove bus in Vancouver for 25 years. George will be greatly missed by the many who loved him.

Watch out for those gazoonies dear George - until we meet again. In lieu of flowers donations to the BC Cancer Agency appreciated. Condolences may be left at:
