RIDGEWELL, George Eugene
Passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer, on September 8th, 2014 in Maple Ridge, BC. He was born October 6, 1935, in Plaster Rock, New Brunswick, to Perley and Beth Ridgewell.
George is survived by his long time friend and companion, Raymonde Williams, and her son Brent Williams, his daughters, Kim (Brad) Duncan, of BC, Karen (Randy) Lauze, of Ontario, 5 grandchildren: Michael, Brooke, Kaelin, Brady and Kiana, and his only sibling, brother, Doug (Marlene) Ridgewell, from Nova Scotia. George studied engineering at the University of New Brunswick after graduating from The Tobique Valley Regional High School in Plaster Rock, New Brunswick and while he was attending University was in the ROTP (Regular Officers Training Plan) where he took his pilot training, in Centrailia Ontario. George retired in his field of expertise from the City of Maple Ridge. A Celebration of Life will be held for George at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Maple Ridge Legion, 12101 224th St. Maple Ridge. All friends are welcome.
