WELCH, Gerald Ernest

Gerry as he was known to his family and friends, passed away after a lengthy and dignified battle with Alzheimer’s at age 81. Gerry was born in Vancouver, he is survived and sadly missed by his loving wife Helen of almost 60 years. His much loved children Judith (Rob) Gray, Hugh (Debbie) Welch, Mary-Ellen (Don) Smith. Seven beloved Grandchildren Kevin (Melissa) Gray, Andrea (Craig) Granter, Justin & Christopher Welch, Brian, Alisha & Daryl Smith. Three very special great-grandchildren Matthew Gray, Chelsea & Madeline Granter. Two brothers, Herbert (Caroll) Welch, Parksville and Victor (Lorraine) Welch, Gold River and nieces & nephews.
Many thanks to the staff of Holyrood Manor of Maple Ridge especially those who work 1st floor D wing for their wonderful and loving care of Gerry for many years.
