In God's Hands ~
It is with great sadness that the family of Heather Drew announces her passing on March 16, 2023 in Maple Ridge, BC. Her husband Roger was by her side.
Heather is predeceased by her brothers Ken and Ed. She is survived by her husband Roger, their three daughters, Erin, Clare and Amy, three grandsons Elias, Lukas and Tilo, three sisters Ilona, Hilary and Harmonna (Chris) and six brothers Ron, Gerry, Les, David, Hal and Ross.
Heather was born in Edmonton on February 7, 1949 and was part of a large blended family. She lived also in Saskatoon, Kelowna and Kamloops and moved to Vancouver as a young adult, where she worked at the Bank of Montreal.
There, she met Roger and they married in 1974. Their three daughters Erin, Clare and Amy were born in 1978, 1979 and 1987. The family lived in Vancouver, Port Coquitlam and Prince George and in 1998, Heather and Roger settled in Maple Ridge.
Most of all, Heather's primary service was to her family. She devoted her life to supporting Roger and raising their three girls. She was also very involved as a school parent and at church. For many years, Heather was active on the board of WomanCare Maple Ridge, which provides care to mothers in need, and she established its annual trivia night.
Heather and Roger ran an Alpha course for 13 years at the Maple Ridge Community Church, impacting many lives for God.
A great source of happiness in Heather's life was time with her daughters and grandsons. She also enjoyed shopping, travelling, getaways to Birch Bay, taking plenty of photos, gardening, baking, home decorating, word puzzles, lively card games and lunch dates with girlfriends.
She will be very missed by her family and the many people she touched throughout her life.
A celebration of Heather's life will be held on TBD at TBD at the Maple Ridge Community Church (20450 Dewdney Trunk Road, Maple Ridge).
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to WomanCare Maple Ridge or Maple Ridge Christian School.
