Helen McNab, 92, of Maple Ridge, BC, passed away December 23, 2017.

Helen is survived by her children Donna Roald, Keith McNab (Jane) and Jane Gallagher (Mike), grandchildren Laura Roald (Matt Thomson), Kenna Roald, Trevor Roald (Hanifa Jalali), Jenny McNab (Ian Jackson), Andrew McNab, Erica Gallagher, Nathan Gallagher (Steff), and great-grandchildren Verity Thomson, Thora Thomson, Gozalle Roald, Emma Jackson, and Fox Gallagher.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ken, her brother Bert Wilson, her later-life companion John King and her son-in-law Glen Roald.

Helen was born on December 15, 1925 in Darlingford, Manitoba to Will and Harriet Wilson. She married Ken McNab in 1947 and moved to Lake Cowichan, BC in 1948. In 1956 they settled in Haney, and Helen devoted her time to her growing family and community.

After Ken's death in 1976, she worked at Fuller Watson, and continued volunteering for many local organizations. She traveled extensively, often with her dear friend John King, who shared her interest in active living and exploring the world.

Helen's life was marked by love of fellowship, constant service and her adventurous spirit. She was an accomplished seamstress, a competitive bridge player, a cherished mother and friend.

A service of remembrance is scheduled for Saturday, December 30, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Golden Ears United Church, with reception to follow.
