Henry Carr

October 10, 1943 - August 14, 2019
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Henry, beloved husband of 50 years to Joan. Devoted father to Chris (Steph), Des (Julie), Brendan (Jess), and much loved Papa to grandchildren Aidyn, Kieran, Dianne, Connor, and Caelan.
Born in Scotland, his search for adventure took him and his family to South Africa for eight years, and then to Canada where they settled in Maple Ridge.
Always hardworking and willing to offer help to anyone, he will be sorely missed. Predeceased by his parents Hugh and Elizabeth, sisters Evelyn Campbell, Betty McCafferty, and brothers Mike and Frank.
We sincerely thank the wonderful doctors, nurses, and volunteers of McKenney Creek Hospice for all their compassion, kindness and dedication in ensuring his comfort and care in his last weeks, and helping his family through all their grief.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Garden Hill Cremation and Funeral Services 11765 - 224th St on Saturday Aug. 24th at 10:30 am.
