Howard Banford passed away after a short illness on Monday, May 24th at the age of 78. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Janis, his two daughters Shannon (Pascal) and Jodi (Cameron) and 5 grandchildren Myshiia, Jaidalyn, Druehn, Lexi and Alyssa.
Howard was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1942. After graduation, he made his way out west. After a couple years in Calgary, he and his beautiful wife packed up a U-haul and headed for British Columbia. After exploring the big city of Vancouver, they moved to the suburbs and made Maple Ridge their new hometown.
Howard was known for his charm and wit. He had a varied and adventurous career as a CGA and always liked his work. Once he was able to retire, he pursued his other passions, travel and golf, always with Janis by his side. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and giving back to the community by volunteering for Meals on Wheels.
As per Howard's request there will be no service. In lieu of a service, Howard requests that you take a friend out to lunch.
