Hugo was born in Lembeck, Germany. He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn, daughter, Karen Olson, son, Peter and son-in-law, John Olson, granddaughters, Hayleigh and Annika. In Germany, he is survived by his sister, Hildegard and brothers, Werner and Josef.
Hugo was an avid hunter, gardener, and a forester by trade. He served before he retired as a correctional officer for the federal government. He was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus. There will be no service at this time, with a celebration of life being held at a later date.
