Irene (Ida Irene) Sepke passed away in hospice June 19, 2021 after a brave fight with cancer at the age of 85. Irene was born October 5th, 1935 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She spent her youth in Ontario with her mother Elsie and brothers, Kenny, Harold and Gerry. They moved to BC in 1956.
Irene leaves behind her loving husband of 59 years, Melvin and her 3 daughters and their families; Corrine (Kevin, Luke and Sara), Anita (Delaney) and Lisa (Jim and Tessa). Irene deeply loved her girls and her grandchildren.
She felt great pride in her family's accomplishments and found great joy in travelling, celebrating holidays and listening to the banter of everyday life. Her fondest memories were of fishing with Melvin, raising her family and seeing our beautiful country.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ridge Meadows Hospice Society. In keeping with Irene's wish, there will be no memorial service.
