Jacoba Johanna Alida
Born June 9th, 1930 in Noordwijk Holland, was taken into the arms of our Lord on February 28, 2007 after a lengthy and courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Coby passed away with family at her bed side. She wil be sadly missed by her daughters, Jeanette (Russell) Sherwood, Adriana McGill, Lilian (Scott) Hayes, sons, John (Christina), Harry (Nadine), Ed (Deanna), Mike (Cheryl), and William (Robin). Her 26 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren, sisters, Sjani deLincel, Mein de Haas, brothers Arie and Wim de Haas, all in Holland, Coby was pre-deceased by her husband, Arnold Wassenaar in 1988, granddaughter Alisha, grandson Robert, parents Hendrikus (Adriana) 7 brothers and sisters in Holland. Coby was active in the Senior Center in Maple Ridge, B.C. She was the most giving, unselfish and loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all the people who knew and loved her. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, 11:30 AM March 3rd, 2007 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church 3141 Shaughnessy St., Port Coquitlam, B.C.
