Our much-loved husband, father, papa and friend; James (Jim) Donald Bulpit aged 72, of Maple Ridge, BC passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on April 8, 2018 at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre.
Born in Vancouver, spending most of his working years in the Prairies, he vowed to return to BC for his love of the ocean. Upon retiring, he eagerly travelled the south to find their home away from home which landed them in Arizona. He always said, being a snowbird was the best years of his life. He could hardly wait to head south to be with friends, attend every event and tear up the dance floor.
He was never one to sit still, loved to tinker in the yard, work with his hands and always eyeing up his next project. Just a phone call away for a helping hand for friends and family...he always had the solution.
Survived by his family: wife, Della; daughters Wendy (Terry) Buchamer, Wanda Hickey, grandkids Mikayla and Jared Buchamer; sister, Bev (Loyd) Sellers; niece, Gaylene (Rob) Byers and family; Nephew, Darren (Denise) Sellers and family; niece Crystal (Marshall) Imler.
We would like to thank the amazing nurses and doctors on the Palliative Complex Care Unit for their care and compassion when we all needed it most.
We mourn his passing and celebrate his life and are grateful for all the great memories we shared.
In keeping with Jim's wishes, there will be no funeral services.
