In Loving Memory of
Janet Elaine Rekunyk (nee Ozburn)
January 13th , 1950 ~ July 11th , 2007
Janet leaves behind her soul mate and husband of 35 years, Jim Rekunyk, and their daughter Kristen, and their son Jake (Amanda). Janet is survived by her mother Eva McQuade, her step-father Ivor McQuade, and mother-in-law Margaret Rekunyk. Among the many who will miss Janet are her sisters Lorraine (Ron) Minch, and Lois Allanson; Doug (Darlene) Rekunyk, Drew (Diane) Rekunyk, Peggy Rekunyk, Jeff (Carol) Rekunyk, and her many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Janet was predeceased by her father, Fred Ozburn, her step-mother Ethel Ozburn, her father-in-law Peter Rekunyk, and her niece Teresa Fantillo. Janet was, and remains, an inspiration to many. Her courage, wisdom and humor were shared generously with those around her. The hearts of her friends and family will forever cherish their many happy memories of Janet. Thank-you Janet, we are all richer for having known you. A Memorial will be held on Saturday, July 21st , 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at the MAPLE RIDGE FUNERAL CHAPEL (Osborn’s). 11969 – 216th Street, Maple Ridge, B.C.. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the B.C. Cancer Agency or the McKenney Creek Hospice in Janet’s name.
