POPE (nee Sutherland) Jean Pauline
1922 ~ 2011. Jean passed away on December 27, 2011 surrounded by her children and grandchildren at Holyrood Manor in Maple Ridge. She is predeceased by husband Kenneth, siblings Helen, Marion, and Murray. Survived by her daughter Margaret, son Alex, daughter-in-law Barb, grandchildren Casey, Danika, and Edward, nephew Jim (Sharron) and niece Anne. Born in 1922 in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Jean was born and raised in Alberta's Peace River region. After teaching for a few years, Jean became an Occupational Therapist, working with psychiatric and workplace injury patients. She was an avid mountaineer and member of the Tip Toppers Club. After marrying Kenneth in 1962, she devoted her life to her family and her garden. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at St. Andrew's Haney United Church, 22165 Dewdney Trunk Rd, Maple Ridge, BC at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the United Church of Canada.
