It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, grandmother and sister on October 5th, 2009. Jeannine was born in Port Hammond, B.C. on May 21st, 1929 and remained in the area for 79 of her 80 years. She met her husband “Bob” while he worked at Hammond Cedar mill and they married in 1951. They had a wonderful life together surrounded by many special family and friends and were married for 47 years until Bob’s death in 1998. She is predeceased by her parents, Albert and Gertrude Fournier, her loving husband Robert, her son-in-law Randy Herman, and her step brothers and sisters, Romeo, Albert, George, Mary and Juliette. She will leave a huge void in the lives of her children, Daniel (Susan), Roberta and Tammy and all of her wonderful grandchildren who she was devoted to. She will be greatly missed by her sister Shirley Beecroft and her sisters-in-law, Mary Fournier and Roberta Franklin. A celebration of life will be held on October 17th, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at the Hammond United Church at 11391 Dartford Street, Maple Ridge, B.C. Reception to follow in the church hall.
