July 7, 1954 - September 3, 2018
With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Jeffry L. Teunissen on Monday Sept 3rd, 2018.
He is greatly missed by his beloved wife of 37 years Bonnie. His children Joey (Mel), Lisa (Dan), Danny (Kristen) and Amanda (Jeff). Devoted Opa to Courtney (Todd), Hayley, Nikolus (Steph), Jamie, Linden, Jacob, Havannah, Dean, Addie and great-grandchildren Violet, Arabella, Hunter and Scarlet. Survived by his Mother Cato, siblings Ellen (Jim), Joyce (Gord), Hans and Audry (Ross), many nieces & nephews, cousins and a circle of close friends that were also family to Jeff. Predeceased by his Father Hubert, his sister Grace, in-laws Fred and Jean Kvaas.
Born on July 7th, 1954 on the island of Jakarta, Indonesia, the family later travelled to Holland before making Canada their home in 1964. Jeff worked for the District of Pitt Meadows and retired in 2012 after 33 years of service. After not finding retirement suitable to Jeff (or Bonnie), Jeff started working for his life long friend Doug Urquhart driving a gravel truck.
He loved the variety each job brought, listening to his music loudly in the cab and using too much data on the GPS to find each next site.
The Celebration of life will be held at Silverdale Hall, 8760 Mclean Street, Mission, B.C. on Saturday, September 15th, 2018 at 2pm.
We will forever miss Jeff's big grin, his love of BBQ'N, the rumbling sound of his motor as he pulls in on his lifelong passion for Harleys and sharing Indo cooking recipes but most of all the unwavering love he had for his family. He will always be on our minds and forever be in our hearts.
