McKENZIE Joan Elsie Minnie
Passed away on Sunday, May 10th, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in East Brighton, England on April 2nd, 1925 and came to Canada as a war bride of Donald J. Olson. She is predeceased by husbands, Donald J. Olson and Owen J. McKenzie.
Mom will be greatly missed by her family, sister Sheila and brother Roy residing in England. Her children, Rod Olson (Irene) Surrey B.C., Dennis Olson (Sheila) Kelowna, B.C. and Janice Faust (Ron) from Waskatenau, Alberta. Mom was deeply loved by her grandchildren, Chris Olson (Leane), Lisa Vere (Marc), Teresa Garbe (Doyle), Shannon Garbe (Paul) and Ken Olson deceased. Mom is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, Tate, Zane, Peyton, Tiffany, Alex, Allandra, Zackary and Sydney.
A Celebration of Life Tea will be held Sunday, May 24th from 2:00pm until 4:00pm at Ridge Meadows Seniors Centre, 12150 - 224th St. Maple Ridge, B.C.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Ridge Meadows Seniors Society, or charity of choice, will be greatly appreciated.
