DRAYTON, John Edward passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on May 8, 2011. John was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on October 24, 1920. He proudly served his country for 6 years in the European Theatre during WWII. He was with his Corps on the beaches of France on D-Day and he was also there to help liberate Holland. In England he met and married his war bride of 66 years, Doreen, who predeceased him by 2 years. He was also predeceased by his brothers Frank (Marj)and Charles. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Patricia (James), grandson Jeff, step-grand- daughter Jody (Stewart), 4 great-grandchildren, sister Elsie (Norm) and nieces and nephews. Many heartfelt thanks to Dr. C. Fernandes, staff of the ER and 2 West at Ridge Meadows Hospital, and McKenney Creek Hospice. You cared for him as though he had been your own. Memorial Service to be held on Sunday, May 22, in the Community of Christ Church, 19089 Advent Road, Pitt Meadows at 2 pm with a private recep- tion to follow. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
