HOPKINS, John (Jack) William. September 27, 1933 – August 30, 2013. John passed away suddenly in Maple Ridge, BC he is survived by his wife Connie of 56 years, his children Dennis, Lori (Tom), and Wendy; his brothers Don (Mary), Dale (Joyce), and his sister Betty (Trevor); Grandchildren Geri-Lynn (Kazz), Shawn (Autumn), and Mike. Great Grandchildren Nathan, Calyssa and Sora as well as many nieces, nephews and great friends. John will be remembered most for his commitment and love for his family, his love for travelling, the ocean, photography and creating art for his grandchildren out of rocks, driftwood and shells. John served in the Air Force, worked on building BC roads and the Peace River Dam. Later he settled in a job working for BC Hydro where continued until he retired in 1990. He was a kind, caring man who was a great example and inspiration to all of his family. By his request there will not be a formal service but just a gathering for family and close friends. Papa you will be greatly missed.
