Our dear father passed away peacefully at the age of 91. Born in Ulverston England. Immigrated to Canada in the 50’s settling in Maple Ridge, BC along with his wife and children. Working as a psychiatric nurse at Essondale Hospital upon coming to Canada. Dad then went on to a career with BC Corrections from which he retired in 1984.
Dad was predeceased by his wife Rona in 1997 after enjoying travelling and winters in Arizona with her. He volunteered for the BC Summer Games in 1987. Later on he met his partner Margaret who together shared a love of ballroom dancing, cruising, making many friends at a lot of the local senior centres. Predeceased by Margaret in 2014.
He, in his spare time was often busy making canvas back Kayaks for grandchildren and great grandchildren. His love for family was evident in his big hugs, care, support and love. He will forever be in our hearts and dearly missed by friends and family.
Sons, Keith (Joannie – predeceased), Geoff (Tonya), and daughter Cathy (Dave) many grandchildren and even more great grandchildren. Dad always said that he’s had a good run, been very fortunate, had a great family…
