NOEL Joseph Louis Albert. July 4th, 1935 ~ Aug 30th, 2012. Al passed away August 30th 2012 at the age of 77, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in St. Paul, Alberta 1935, Al moved to BC with his family at the age of six. His 30 year career at Crown Zellerbach, Fraser Mills led him to his Millwrite Supervisor Role. Married in 1963 to Linda (nee Freiheit), they made their home in Fraser Mills, later moving to Maple Ridge in 1973. Al and his family spent most of their free and happy times at their cabin on Pitt Lake. Their retirement years included travelling together to warm destinations. Among Al's hobbies were travelling throughout BC, Alberta and hunting and fishing. He is survived by Linda, his loving wife of 49 years. His daughters Kimberly (Cliff), Nicole (Tom), his granddaughters Kristan (Paolo) and Erin, his brothers Raymond (Bella), Bernie (Marge), sister Denise, sister-in-law Barb, many nieces and nephews as well as extended family in St. Paul, Alberta. Predeceased by his father, Adelard Noel, his mother Sophie Gagen (nee Garska), step-father Vince Gagen and brother Marcell. The family would like to invite friends and relations to gather for tea and time of fellowship, at the Pitt River Boat Club, 3765 Lincoln Avenue, Port Coquitlam, on September 15th, 2012 from 1-4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Al's memory to Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation, BC Cancer Agency, Abbotsford Centre. His family would like to thank Dr. Hyams and Dr. Sergeeva and the nursing and support staff on 2 West at Ridge Meadows Hospital for all their dedicated care in these last months.
