It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our son Joshua Riggs “Big Rigg” Jaheny. Josh came into the world in the same way he left it; in his Pitt Meadows home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 5th, 1990 and passed away May 24th, 2014 at the age of twenty-three. Josh went through life in a way most people can only dream of. He lived fully, loved fiercely, laughed loudly, played competitively and above all else brought joy to those around him.
He is survived by his devoted parents Paul and Tammie, his closest friend & older brother Tyson and their beloved family pet, Soda. He also leaves behind a large extended family of Grandparents Isabelle, Chloe (Ron), Ken (Linda), Gary (Nilda), as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of close & life-long friends. We would like to thank all of the paramedics, first - responders and our life-long friend and neighbour Kent Stone for all their efforts that night.
A public viewing will be held at Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel & Crematorium on Friday, June 6th 2014. Those who wish to say goodbye can come by anytime between 2:00-6:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will then be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2014 at 2:00 pm at Maple Ridge Baptist Church.
In true Josh tradition, we ask that you come as you are and that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Josh’s name to the Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.
