With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Joyce Esther Short, on August 10 2022 at 93 years. Joyce will be dearly missed by her 4 children: Susan (Wayne), Kathy, Laurie (Jill), and Randi along with 8 grandchildren: Stacey (Scott), Shayne (Chris), Tiffany (Kevin), David, Andrea (Julius), Kristian (Jen), Katherine, Matteo and 7 great-grandchildren: Ben, Joshua, Jordan, Rowan, Callum, Jonah and Elodie.
Joyce was lovingly known as "Nanny" to more than just her own grandchildren. She was quick to offer a warm welcome (and cookies) to any friends brought home. She was happiest when the house was filled with family and friends sharing a good laugh.
Our family is forever changed, but we comfort ourselves in the knowledge that after waiting 32 years, Mom and Dad are together again. A beautiful, spunky 15 year old girl and a handsome, intelligent 17 year old boy, roller skating and square dancing forever.
