In loving memory of our wonderful mother and friend, you will be missed dearly. Mom passed peacefully on the evening of Wednesday January 25, 2017 surrounded by family. Born June 27, 1932 in Edmonton, Mom was privileged with a long and meaningful life. Mom will be remembered as a loving mother, an inspiring teacher, an intrepid traveller, and a generous member of the Maple Ridge and Coquitlam communities. Being an ardent quilter, her friends, family and those in need have benefited from receiving numerous hand-made quilts - which will continue to share her warmth with the world.
Mom is survived by her great-grandchildren Aiden, Austin, Carter, Kassidy, Ryliegh, Easton and one on the way; grandchildren Jenn (Scott), Rob (Sandi), Greg (Jaimi), Barrett (Kelsey), Alex (Jenn), Kim (Anthony), Chris (Katherine), Kevin (Julie), Jonathan and Tym; four children Tom (Barb), Bruce, Peggy (Don), and Jim (Lori); sister Shirley and brother Doug (Judy); and other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on the afternoon of March 5, 2017 at Eagles Community Hall 23461 Fern Cres, Maple Ridge, 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Arthritis Society.
