Joyce Marie (nee Smith)
Born Sept. 4th, 1924 in Toronto, Ontario. Passed away peacefully August 4th, 2007 in Maple Ridge, B.C. Survived by her husband Wilf, son Bruce, daughter Marilyn, grandsons Graeme, Jeffrey, Matthew, Jeremy, Daniel and Andrew and brothers Bruce (Karen) and Gordon (BJ). Joyce and Wilf celebrated sixty years of loving marriage last October. Both enjoyed many years of retirement, playing bridge, curling, golf, hiking and travel. Joyce also volunteered her time to local community services for seniors. The family wishes to express their grateful thanks to the staff of Alouette Manor and Baillie House for their care and support to Joyce, since her stroke four years ago. A Remembrance Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, August 9th at the MAPLE RIDGE FUNERAL CHAPEL (Osborn’s), 11969 – 216th Street, Maple Ridge. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
