July 3, 1954 - July 16, 2021
After sixty seven wonderful years we announce the passing of Karen Hart. Wife, Mother, Sister and Friend. After a courageous battle with cancer (Lymphoma) for the second time, she passed away peacefully in Abbotsford on July 16, 2021.
Karen was born in Bella Coola BC to Frank and Joyce Gildersleve and was one of five kids. A kind and wonderful soul Karen had a passion for baking, scrapbooking, family history and recipe collecting.
Karen was very social, always phoning and sending emails bringing people together. After moving to Vancouver from Bella Coola she met her husband Lester and had two boys Mathew and Nicholas. The family moved to Maple Ridge where they lived for 31 years.
With a passion for baking and cooking the house always smelled wonderful. Karen always had a smile that would light up a room, a heart of gold and a personality that would put everyone before herself.
She will be dearly missed by her husband Lester, boys Mathew and Nicholas, her brother Barry, sisters Debbie and Jill and all her wonderful friends.
She was predeceased by her sister Megan, (we hope you are up there chatting away like you always did on the phone).
A Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later date.
