Ken came to B.C. in 1950 to pursue a professional hockey career in the old Western Hockey league with the New Westminster Royals. Maple Ridge (Haney) was his home for 68 years. His career was in trucking and heavy construction products.

Ken contributed to the community in many ways. He was a well respected Minor Hockey and Little League Ball coach, Maple Ridge Volunteer firefighter for 22 years, Cancer driver, also a proud Legion member with a Silver Cross Mum. We will remember him for his love of music and guitar playing,

Many residents will remember Ken for his retirement job, 15 years driving at Maple Ridge Chrysler and serving hot dogs on weekends.

Ken will be greatly missed by a loving family, many good friends and co-workers. Ken's message to you all is, "Celebrate. Don't be sad. But do remember me. Just an old stubble jumper from Saskatchewan."
