Passed peacefully, at age 88, July 4, 2018 at home with her family. Kitty will be missed by daughter Sandra, son-in-law Julius, and beloved granddaughter Kirste. Remembering wonderful family occasions together are sister-in-law, Antonette, niece Tina-Marie (Stewart), nephews Steve (Donna), Anton (Nicole), Vince (Colleen), and nephews Jim (Elaine), Paul, and their families. Also cousins Ken and Randi (Brian).
Additional family in Italy, Sissi and Maddalena, and in Egypt. Gisi (Sayed) and Amin. Kitty and her late husband Leonard were close to their cousins in Norway and Sweden, and made many trips there, as well as hosting many of their cousins here in Canada.
Kitty was predeceased by parents, Peder and Hulda, husband Leonard, son Paul, brother Per, and sister-in-law Helen.
Kitty was born to Norwegian immigrants in Vancouver. She and Leonard married in 1952, and in 1964 moved to the farm in Maple Ridge. Kitty and Leonard loved to travel, and after retiring travelled extensively across Canada and the US, as well as several trips to Norway and Sweden, through Europe, and south to Australia and New Zealand.
Kitty was a long-time member of Canadian Order of Foresters. She also volunteered for many years with the Cancer Society managing their local office and organizing the annual daffodil sales. She loved to play bridge and was a member of the Fraserview Bridge Club.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, July 18th, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel, 11969-216th Street. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a favourite charity.
