Larry John Pastorek

February 11, 1949 - July 21, 2022
Born February 11, 1949 in New Westminster, B.C. Larry passed away July 21, 2022 after surgery in Kamloops. He was the son of Frank and Alma Pastorek of Pitt Meadows. He is survived by his sons Corey and Jason (Reill), granddaughter Rylee, and step children Brent (Jessica) and Taylor, Aaron, and Tracie.
He will be sorrowfully missed by his mother, Alma, sister Judy (Wilson) Cowan and Carol. Also missing him are nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was predeceased by his father Frank (2006), his brother Alan (2008), and his beloved wife Connie (2010).
Larry grew up in Pitt Meadows on the dairy farm. He started and finished his career of 42 years at Hammond Cedar going from the green chain to a millwright. After retiring in 2009, he worked briefly at Home Depot.
In 2016 he moved to Kamloops where he was so happy being close to his sons. Larry spent his leisure hours on his construction projects and hunting and fishing with the boys. He was a skilled woodworker and enjoyed his role as "Papa Larry".
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. St. Luke's Catholic Church, 20285 Dewdney Trunk Rd., Maple Ridge, B.C. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
