Born August 23, 1932 in Porto Formoso, Sao Miguel (Azores) Portugal.
Passed away peacefully on Nov. 15th,
2007 in Vancouver, B.C. at the age of 75
surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ernesto F. Moniz and lovingly
remembered by her three sons and two daughters, daughter-in-laws and
son-in-laws; Anthony (Liz), Ernest (Una), Carlos (Gabriella), Laura (Joe) and
Grace (Mike) her Grandchildren; Elizabeth, David, Eva, Ian, Justin, Ezra,
Nicholas, Anna, Anthony, Gavin,
Julia , Carolynn, Jacqueline and Derek, siblings, cousins and her close
friends that made up Laura‘s
large extended family.
Laura will be remembered for her
love of education and learning.
She constantly challenged her
children to realize their dreams,
a legacy that will not be forgotten.
Laura’s boundless energy,
compassion and caring was a gift
she shared with her many children
and adults that she looked after in a
lifetime of dedicated care-giving .
The greatest gift Laura left was her
never-ending love for her sons and daughters and her belief that they could
be anything they wanted to be.
We love you Mom and will miss you!

3 Links Care centre (Rebekah place),
VGH Palliative care ward, who took care of our Mom in her time of need.

of Christian Burial will be celebrated
10:00 am Friday November 23rd
Rev. Antonio Deangelis is the
celebrant. Entombment to follow at
Ocean View Burial Park.
