It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle and friend Al Smith of Mission, B.C., on January 7th, 2007 at the age of 77 years after fighting a courageous and dignified battle with an illness. Al will be deeply missed by his loving wife Nieske; their children, grandchildren, many family members and close friends, including his faithful pug Trixie and the boys Milo, Otis, and Tayler. Al retired from Eaton’s after 41 years. Every weekend you could find Al refereeing in Soccer and Lacrosse or any other kind of sports.
You touched our lives in so many ways, you will live on in our hearts.
A private family service will be held Thursday, January 11th at 4:00 pm at the family home. In lieu of flowers, donations to McKenney Creek Hospice, would be appreciated.
